This past weekend I took on my first project for the apartment. I had received two side tables from an aunt a few months back, with the intention to fix up. With two weeks left until I head back to school, I began sanding and painting both tables. I chose a stone grey spray paint to cover up the old brown oak color. Keeping the tables more of a neutral tone, I can add other bolder colors to pop against it. The whole process took a little over an hour for both tables; I used an electric sander to remove the original gloss coating and give something for the new spray paint to hold onto; then I gave the tables a good first coat of spray paint, making sure I didn't "over spray" any areas, leaving a big goop spot; I then let them both sit in the garage overnight; the next day, I gave the tables a second and final coat, covering any spots that I had missed. I used, and 100% recommend Rustoleum 2x spray paint, for any big projects you have. It already has the primer in it and sprays on really well. Photos of the tables in the apartment will be up soon! Thanks for stopping by!
